Supporting Healthcare Professionals
Professional development for GPs, allied health practitioners, and healthcare teams: Deepening clinical understanding through neurodevelopmental expertise.
We provide training, consultation, and collaborative support for healthcare professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions, primitive reflexes, sensory processing, and trauma-informed care. Whether you’re a GP wanting to recognise developmental red flags, or an allied health practitioner looking to expand your toolkit, we’re here to support your professional growth.
Collaborative Partnerships
General Practitioners
GPs play a critical first-contact role in identifying developmental concerns and initiating referrals.
Focus Area:
Recognising neurodevelopmental red flags, understanding when to refer, and supporting families through the diagnostic journey.
Allied Health Practitioners
Occupational therapists, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, speech pathologists, psychologists, counsellors, and other allied health professionals.
Focus Area:
We offer a deeper understanding and integration of primitive reflexes, trauma and utilising rhythmic movements, as a bottom up approach, into your existing clinical practice.
Multidisciplinary Teams
Early childhood intervention teams, school support teams, and collaborative care networks.
Focus Area:
Building a shared language and coordinated approach for early intervention teams, school support networks, and collaborative care circles.
Core Training Pillars
Workshops & Training
Half-day or full-day sessions covering topics such as the clinical significance of primitive reflexes, trauma-informed healthcare, and the “Rhythmic Movement” method.
Case Consultation
Expert guidance for complex client presentations. We offer one-off or short-term case consulting for clinicians looking for a second opinion on assessment findings or support in treatment planning.
Tailored In-Services
Customised training for your clinic or GP practice. We come to you (or meet via Telehealth) to deliver targeted upskilling that aligns with your team’s specific needs and client demographic.
Key Training Topics
Primitive Reflexes
Understanding the role of reflexes in the blueprint’ development, identifying early retained reflexes, the clinical implications for learning and behaviour and Integration techniques.
Sensory Processing
Moving beyond “labels” to understand sensory systems, the seeker/avoider dynamic, the relationship of sensory processing to retained primitive reflexes and environmental modifications.
The Foundations of Safety (Trauma & The Nervous System)
We move beyond clinical labels to understand how a “survival-first” nervous system operates. We explore why a body stuck in a stress response often holds onto primitive reflexes as a protective shield. Understand why we need to create a sense of deep physical safety that allows a person’s system to finally “let go” and begin the process of reflex integration.
Unpacking the Neurology of the Spectrum
Unpacking the spectrum to understand the synergy between ADHD, Autism, and co-occurring conditions. We focus on identifying the “primary driver” of a person’s challenges and how to build a support plan that respects both their neurotype and their need for neurological safety.
Functional Assessment in the Real World
Moving beyond the clinic walls to understand how a person actually functions. We focus on observation in natural contexts (home, work and school), parent and teacher and carer interviews, and the balance between standardised and non-standardised tools. Most importantly, we teach you how to translate these findings into meaningful, “participation-focused” goals.
Clinical Reasoning & Evidence-Based Practice
Bridging the gap between current neurodevelopmental research and daily clinical work. We explore how to integrate the latest evidence with clinical reasoning to evaluate intervention effectiveness, ensuring our approach remains truly client-centred and results-driven.
